Founded in 1923, is one of the research facilities was launched early in Vietnam. The Institute is located on a spacious,high and dry land next to Cau Da Port, about 6km from the Southeast of the central city of Nha Trang

Visited the Institute, visitors will see firsthand marine museum with over 20,000 specimens of more than 4,000 types of marine , fresh water were collected and preserved for years, besides the living specimens were drop in the aquarium. Here, the giant whale skeleton near 26 m long, 3 meters high with 48 vertebra were fully restored for scientific research and tourist visitors.
